J.J. Campbell and Associates have been appointed to provide Enabling Works Design to Miesian Plaza, Lower Baggot Street Dublin, formerly the Bank of Ireland HQ.
The primary intervention involves the removal of central columns and internal load bearing walls from roof level down to foundation, which support a total of 11 number floors.
A temporary steel braced frame solution has been chosen offering lateral stability while giving vertical support in lieu of the original columns and wall. Induced pre-dead load into temporary steel frame shall be via pre-tensioned hanging vertical bars. JJC will be also providing Temporary Works Design including crane base and steel frame for Site Accommodation.
