J.J. Campbell and Associates provided civil and structural engineering services to redevelopment of the U2 owned Clarence Hotel, designed by Sir Norman Foster. The luxury 5 star plus hotel would be a 21 century symbol for Dublin. The Hotel is designed as a smooth elliptical form rising from existing structure and crowned by the ‘Skycatcher’, which accommodates the ‘Sky Room’, an entirely glazed space which would offer spectacular views across the city. Planning permission granted. Project on hold.
